I always look forward to consuming out at some point of our every year summer time Greek islands vacation.

There is some thing approximately the mythical Greek islands, the down-to-earth local lifestyle, the constant and steady heat weather, the soothing blue waters and the relaxed and low-pitched atmosphere of the tavernas. Combine this with Greek meals as simple because the well-known Greek Salad, and ah, it's far similar to savouring the taste of natural pleasures and easy heaven.

The Greek Salad continually does this to us while we are within the Greek islands. For lunch most of the instances. We have in truth lost count number of the way in many instances we've got eaten Greek Salads in Greece. We have been doing this for years already.

So on our second day in the island we drove with our condo vehicle to Geni, to check out the accommodation we've got ignored, in addition to the complete area. So we settled for lunch right here at Elena Taverna with a desk just beside the water. Geni has a number of splendid conventional Greek tavernas sitting at the water. We loved the whole ingesting at the water affair that we got here to devour here in Geni three times! Of course at unique tavernas. The whole dining putting right here is just unique and lovable. Since Geni is a small off-the-overwhelmed tune sort of vicinity, it's also quieter here and quite a chunk specific.

Interestingly, we've noticed a terrific wide variety of guests arriving at the tavernas in a bit boat. These humans have either rented the boat or they may be staying on one of the many yachts or sailboats. Dutchman and I are truely no longer the boat kind of people however we would really like to do that kind of excursion a while inside the close to destiny. At least only for a week to attempt out, as we are afraid we'd become seasick, haha.

We ordered 2 mouthwatering Greek Salads and a plate of hot Spinach Pies. Lunch and dinners in Greece constantly comes with bread and butter or tapenade. Some chilled watermelon for fresh dessert from the house sealed our late afternoon lunch.

We enjoyed this lunch immensely. It is so easy but very pleasant to the senses. Well, it should have been the lovable atmosphere of the taverna! On the water, with views to the slumbering villages and marina of Vlycho and Steno and the mountains in the back of Nydri.

These tables on the quay are on the whole occupied for the duration of dinners while the solar isn't that warm anymore. Sunset in Greece is after 9PM.

Delicious Greek Salad, great eaten for lunch whilst it is scorching hot. We ordered 2 of those.

A Greek phyllo pastry speciality - Spinach Pies. Very exceptional whilst eaten nevertheless warm.

The atmosphere of this taverna is in reality adorable.

A easy yet tasty and pleasurable lunch unfold.

The taverna-eating place is partially protected through citrus trees, its branches developing out of proportion and are hoisted via a pergola. I am positive the taverna uses their own lemons to garnish their dishes.
