The Piazza XX Settembre (or Piazza XX September?) is my secret preferred rectangular in Modena.
The rectangular is located simply in the back of the primary rectangular of the town, Piazza Grande and beside the you-must-visit meals and farmer's marketplace -- Mercato Albinelli.
Piazza XX Settembre is quite the epitome of an Italian piazza for my part. It is unpretentious. There are no monuments in the middle of the square. I favored it a lot because of its size; it's far smaller and much less busier, although there was an outside marketplace after I became there. The entire environment of the piazza channelled a totally neighborhood jive to me.
The bars and cafe eating places with outdoor terraces on the sidelines have been a pleasure to the eyes and the senses. This is one of the matters I love approximately Europe. Outdoor cafe terraces continually make a distinction on a piazza. They make the complete place quite, snug and welcoming.
This square could be ideal for a cup of espresso at the same time as watching the market and the passersby any time during the day. A frothy cappuccino within the morning or an coffee after lunch.
There is an antiques and herbs marketplace right here on Saturdays as well.
Here is the location just in case:
I am loving the 3-d presentation of Google Maps! Not all towns are to be had in 3-D though.
Well, I hope you like this square as plenty as I do as well!
Saturday antiques marketplace.
Herbs and tea have been bought on the market as well.
