There is one thing every vacationer should realize about the palace’s rooftop terrace – It isn't open everyday and you will must pay for a separate price ticket for this.
Bru and I had been fortunate that when we visited the palace museum, the rooftop terrace changed into open. We sincerely did no longer know about this however when we approached the 300-year old palace, the former house of the Dutch Royal Family, after having espresso and tea at the Cafe Prins Hendrik Garage on the Stables Square, we noticed humans standing at the rooftop of the palace. I knew the perspectives up there ought to be fabulous so I made a mental notice of it.
When we entered the palace, I noticed inside the garderobe segment a note signal that it's going to cost 1 Euro greater for the guided rooftop go to. Bru and I agreed that we can do the rooftop go to after we have toured the palace (which I will blog subsequent).
Here is what we recognize thus far approximately the rooftop terrace:
- Only open all through the May excursion weeks and summer season months on certain Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Read right here: Rooftop View of the Gardens and to make sure, name the palace.
- You have to pay 1 Euro at the garderobe and they'll give you a bypass.
- This is a strictly guided tour of the rooftop terrace whole with a manual who will stroll you through some ancient facts approximately the gardens (best in Dutch although). Those who do now not speak Dutch will get an data sheet in English to study.
- The tours move each half an hour and the meeting location is at the primary ground foyer by using the clock.
- The garden views are actually terrific!
I rather advocate to do the go to to the rooftop terrace, so do have a take a look at the times you are going.
Here is the Google Maps view:
