We determined to live in Val Cenis ski inn for our 2nd day of snowboarding and boarding.
The advantage of skiing off-top season is less human traffic on the slopes.
We discovered that our ski pass has a free upgrade similar to an Eskimo Pass. Because we have a 6-day ski pass, we are entitled to ski at the opposite 5 ski inns inside the Maurienne valley for 1-day each. Dutchman and I already deliberate to ski and board at 2 other ski hotels but for Monday, the second day of skiing, we decided to live at our domestic base in Val Cenis.
For this day, we deliberate on taking the 2 summits of Lanslevillard and Lanslebourg, the 2540m and 2330m.

Moi nearly geared up for snowboarding. Our ski locker room is in the basement of the chalet and there's a lift so that is truly handy.
The Vieux Moulin gondola. You see the chalet on the gap at the far right? That's our chalet constructing complex. It's no longer a very far walk truely.
This is the Escargot green slope and we take this going back to the chalet, to the slope that is going back to the Vieux Moulin gondola and we take a detour simply before reaching it.
To start with, Dutchman and I aren't simply hardcore skiers and boarders. We usually go to the piste simply earlier than 12 noon, round 11-ish maximum of the times, however in this day we had been later than common. We reminded ourselves that we have been on holiday so not anything to worry at all being past due! There isn't any rule to be at 09:00 sharp at the ski raise. We favor to take things comfortable, it truly is our excursion fashion.
But are not we satisfied that we skied and boarded past due due to the fact the entire morning it snowed and by the time we had been up inside the gondola going to the mountains, the sun and blue skies broke through the clouds! Hallelujah!
It wasn't without a doubt a sunny day but it turned into a day mix of the whole thing: Sun, blue skies, grey, clouds, mist, wind and we even had a bit of bathe. It become truely much higher than in the morning and the day prior to this.
The village of Lanslevillard.
Some sun breaking through the clouds.
Our path for the day turned into going up to 2 summits, the 2540m and the 2330m.
We first went to the 2540m summit through the TSD Solert chairlift and we skied down via the crimson Solert and blue Familiale slopes before taking the Escargot to reach the Arcellins carry with a view to carry us to the 2330m summit. From here we went down thru some great blues (Quebecoise, Tetras, Familiale) and crimson (Ouillon), then taking the green Escargot to the Lanslebourg village wherein we went up again with the Ramasse elevate.
At the top of the Ramasse lift, we had a little smash on the Bar Le Refuge wherein I had a few Vin Chaud (gluhwein/mulled wine) and Dutchman, a Choco Chaud (warm milk chocolate). It turned into beyond three inside the afternoon so it was way after lunchtime and now not many human beings were around. It turned into also a Monday in January, off-height season, subsequently.
Warm drink destroy in the mountains: Vin chaud and Choco chaud.

The climate started to show around so we decided to take the slopes returned to the village. We took the blue Chamois and green Escargot lower back to our chalet. The high-quality element with our chalet apartment is that we will ski and board nearly all of the way to our doorstep. We cherished this convenience a lot!
The night changed into a nice and well-deserved spa earlier than eating out in Lanslebourg.
So right here are the relaxation of the pictures on our 2d day of skiing, on a Monday. We mostly took the photos even as sitting on a chairlift and playing the alpine views. Some were taken upon arrival on the summit.
The slopes had been not busy at all on a Monday afternoon.
Moi right here at the 2540m summit.
Dutchman took a few snap shots of moi.
On the Arcellins elevate going up to the 2330m summit.
The first-class factor being on the chairlift is the view.
And seeing skiers and boarders taking the off-piste course.
We had a mixture of clouds and blue skies. We can not bitch due to the fact the day before we handiest had snow, mist and the whole thing gray.
At the 2330m summit, we had a few flip of climate activities. Look at the massive gray element looming down the slopes.
It changed into again a mixture of all types. We had wind and a bit of windstorm.
Snow dirt in the wind.
Sometimes you need to forestall for a second until the windstorm is over.
At the quit of the day.... Our skis and board lower back inside the locker and we at the chalet condominium.
Don't Miss it!
