Thailand Part Two Of The Elephant Show – The ‘Yutha Hathi’ Thai Royal Battle

For the Part One blog entry of the Elephant Show, please move here – Elephant World Cup (2015) and a few Magic

As mentioned in the first part of this blog entry, I might now not have made it here if not for my mother. I am now not a zoo individual. I might as an alternative see animals in their natural habitat. But having stated that, I can’t virtually say that I have a moralistic attitude on the subject of animals in captivity. The elephants I even have visible right here at Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo have been well-fed and regarded quite satisfied.

I predict however that the zoo group will become a less attractive piece of entertainment inside the coming years and generation. What with the boom of noise round animal rights inside the west – we even have a political ‘Animal Party (Partij voor de Dieren) within the parliament within the Netherlands! People as well have become extra aware of their footprints affecting the sector’s ecosystem and are slowly adapting a accountable and sustainable lifestyle. I bet it is only a be counted of time.

Anyway, here at Samphran, the Elephant Show is divided into numerous components and acts. We started off with some magic, much like having an aperitif at the beginning. The hors d’oeuvres were the introduction of the elephants. The teaser so to talk. Then the primary course got here while the mild animals performed the Elephant World Cup, hehe.

Now we're on the principle route of this display – the Yutha Hathi which is a re-enactment of the historical Thai Royal Battle scene.

Here is a short video of the Royal Battle, the Yutha Hathi.

The elephants have been dressed extravagantly in colorful silken and embroidered apparel and their combatants as properly in very elegant ancient gowns and headwear, accentuated with surprisingly dramatic accessories which include umbrellas. I am not positive if the motive of the umbrella is to defend the fighter from the stark rays of the sun or the sword and spear of the enemy? I am careworn. Maybe these are just props for the display.

The dessert finale came after the conflict whilst the elephants lined up for the target audience for the maximum awaited photograph taking and feeding. You can buy bananas for a few baht to feed the lovable animals. I even controlled to make a quick selfie! Yipee =)

Such a stunning and gentle animal.

In full royal war equipment.

Oi, the trunk need to tickle!

Feeding the elephants - just examine the little woman's expression, surprised and slightly intimidated on the massive gentle animals cowering above her.

My selfie. An fulfillment, haha.

These little youngsters have been so brave! Kudos.
