Utrecht, Netherlands Summer Picnic At The Grift Park

Summer got here a bit bit past due within the Netherlands. The weather here may be very unpredictable, similar to a female =)

Our June and July were springy and from time to time autumn-ish weather. There become even every week while temperatures dropped to 0C inside the evening! Then summer time eventually got here in August and extending into September, which was surely quality and an advantage for us. Miss weather is definitely making up for misplaced time, haha.

Last month I suggested to the Dutchman that we use the picnic basket we acquired as a gift a long term ago. We have in no way used it and its simply sitting in the Dutchman's sport/work room collecting a few dust. We are but no longer the picnic sorts and I would love to change this because out of doors picnicking is in reality a pleasant, fresh and relaxing hobby, specially while it is a warm summer season afternoon.

So we packed some foods and drinks and rode our bikes to Grift Park in the north of the town. The park become already pretty busy whilst we arrived and we determined a place along the canal which became now not crowded in any respect.

Our vicinity become quite fine as we should see all of the boats, kayaks or even bikers passing by. We have a terrific vantage point for humans looking. I suppose the Dutchman and I must do this picnic issue greater often in the weekends during summer season.

So yeah, cheers to extra summer time picnicking soon! To subsequent year then =)

We parked our motorcycles on a small tree beside our picnic spot. I not often get to bike these days so this is a welcome activity for me.

We have a terrific spot to human beings watch all of the boats and bikers passing via.

The Biltse Grift canal flowing via Grift Park. The constructing throughout is the Grift Park restaurant and it has a pleasant outdoor terrace. The eating place was pretty busy.

I am loving this enjoyable picnic exterior pastime of doing not anything lots in any respect! I want to do this picnicking extra often.

We have a few correct distance from the other picnic goers, so we've got a bit of privacy.

We will carry any other throw pillow subsequent time. You really need a few extra cushions for final comfort whilst picnicking outside.

We will attempt some other park next time...

On our manner returned domestic we were given caught beneath a downpour which turned into simplest transient. Luckily it did not take place earlier even as we had been on the park!
